Beginning the next leg of our journey from Puerto Vallarta to Marquesas/French Polyonesia (Mar 2019).

It was a great first day!!!!! SV Arctic Loon is at anchor off Punta Mita at the edge of Banderas Bay/Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Next anchorage will be Nuka Hiva, Marquesas, French Polynesia in approximately 2,935 nautical miles over the next 21-27 days. Our buddy boat, SV Agatha is anchored next to us. After getting released by our Mexican Immigration Officials, we spent the day tacking upwind in 18-22 kt northwest winds (now let’s just hope there is still wind tomorrow). The Humpback whales waved goodbye with an adorable baby Humpback jumping and frolicking in the waves. Tonight’s sunset was amazing… And then there were spectacular fireworks off the beach as we watched the moon rise over the hill. Let’s see what tomorrow will bring…
